Mary Jean Wilson

Mary Jean Wilson, 84, of Phenix City, AL passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at the Midtown Medical Center in Columbus, GA.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm EST, on Friday March 10, 2017 at Vance Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Charles Keown officiating.  A private burial will be held at Parkhill Cemetery following the service.  The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Wilson was born on June 13, 1932, in Phenix City, AL, the daughter of the late Warren Clayton and Montez Walker Hurtt. She was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church,

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, James Robert "Bobby" Wilson; 3 daughters, Carol Holloway, husband Gary of Phenix City, AL, Cathy Weaver, husband Larry of Phenix City, AL and Julie Thaxton, husband Earl of Montgomery, AL; 2 sons, Robert Wilson, wife Linda of Phenix City, AL and Mark Wilson, wife Janet of Auburn, AL; 2 sisters, Linda Blanton, husband Freddie of Columbus, GA and Lenore Deanhardt, husband Neal of Phenix City, AL; 10 grandchildren, Kyndal Young (Eric), Lindsey Napier, Whitney Brown (Wayne), Heather Copeland (Scott), Erin Wilson, Ethan Wilson, Amanda Beck (Chris), Jessica Walters (Jason), Ben Weinbaum and Rod Thaxton; 10 great grandchildren, Madelyn, Camden, Addison, Elijah, Ridge, Gideon, Creek, Lake, Gabriella and Spring; other extended family members and many caring friends,
