Mary Judy Thrasher

Mary Judy Thrasher, 77, of Phenix City, Alabama, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Emory Midtown, Atlanta, Georgia.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 AM EST on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, in the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home, located at 3738 U.S. Highway 431 North Phenix City, Alabama, with Reverend Ricky Ward officiating. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM EST at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.

Ms. Thrasher was born in Columbus, Georgia, the daughter of the late William Royce Fuller and Nola Douglas Fuller. She attended Sparks Technical College in Eufaula, AL taking business classes. Later, she began a career with K-Mart Corporation where she worked as a Unit Pricing Manager for over forty years until her retirement. Ms. Judy as she was known by her friends, loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Grace Free Will Baptist Church. She loved reading and traveling. Until her health declined, Ms. Judy was always ready to go on a cruise with her family. She also enjoyed traveling to Colorado to visit family. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandsons.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Thrasher was preceded in death by her loving husband of thirty-two years Cary Wayne Thrasher; infant daughter Mary Paulsen; sister Linda Miller; brother James “JW” Fuller and Special Friend “Bud” Ward.

Those left to cherish her memory is her daughter Marie Sherman (Doug) of Phenix City, AL; son Paul Thrasher (Julie) of Phenix City, AL; Sisters Reba Wood (Larry) of Columbus, GA and Peggy Campbell of Dallas, TX; Brothers Billy Wayne Fuller (Rui) of Brookings, SD, Ralph Fuller (Ellen) of Phenix City, AL and Harold Fuller (Angie) of Vancleave, MS; grandsons Zach Thrasher, Scott Thrasher and Tucker Sherman and many loving friends and church family.
