Mary Linda Pendergrass

Ms. Mary Linda Pendergrass went to her heavenly home on September 26th, 2021.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM (EST) on Monday, October 04, 2021 at Lakeview Memory Gardens with Rev. Mike Turner officiating according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL. The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM till 12:30 PM at the funeral home prior to the service on Monday.

Mary was born October 10th, 1950, to William Bullard “Red” Pendergrass and Rosalei Irene Berry Pendergrass, both deceased. Mary spent most of her life (over 50 years) in rural GA, before moving to Jackson TN. She attended Campbell High School in Fairburn GA. She loved her huge family and knew each of them by name (whew!), loved singing, getting together with family and fishing. She was a Christian, and right now would be saying, “Psalm 91 over you all.”

She is survived by her children, Linda Murphy (Jeffrey Mullikin) of Jackson TN, David Sharp of Palmetto GA, Heather Harmon (John Thompson) of Senoia GA, Jason Tarpley (Jennifer Tarpley) of Powder Springs GA, and a special niece, Marcie Maye (Chad Flournoy) of Greenville Ga; grandchildren Justin Williams, Trevor Murphy, James Mullikin, Michelle Sharp, Michael Sharp, Matthew Sharp, Charles N. Trotter V, Christopher Trotter, Alyssa Sparrow, Andrew Harmon, Kylee Thompson, Aiden Thompson, Alaina Thompson, Brandon Clayton, Caiden Tarpley, Ary Tarpley; great grandchildren, Levi Rivas, Wesley Sharp, Avery Scherf Trotter, Elliot Scherf; siblings, Christine Newsome, Pearl Stone, William Pendergrass, Rudy Pendergrass and Oscar Pendergrass. Mary was predeceased by her sons, James “Jimmy” Sharp and Jake Shearer; parents William and Irene Pendergrass; siblings Edna Patti, Sharon Nally, Fay Smith and Stanley Pendergrass; grandson, Matthew Williams. Mary is also survived by a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
