Mary Faye Parsons Harper, 97, of Phenix City, AL passed away at Arabella Health and Wellness on Sunday morning, December 3, 2023.
Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at 11:00 AM Eastern Time, with Pastor Jeremy Johnson officiating at Lakeview Memory Gardens Cemetery 3800 US-Highway 431 North in Phenix City, Alabama.
Mary was born July 9, 1926, in Phenix City, AL; the 9th of 10 children of Warnie Hortense Patrick and James Thomas Parsons. She was a charter member of Golden Acres Baptist Church since their founding in 1945 and enjoyed a close relationship with God and had a strong love for her church. Her love of God was followed closely by her love of family, good gospel music and in serving others. She will be missed deeply but she encouraged all of us to have a close relationship with God, so that we would all be reunited again someday.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Jefferson Harper, Sr. and one son, Donald Steven Harper.
Survivors include three children, Lewis Jefferson Harper, Jr. and his wife Judy, Vickie Harper Borders and James Harper and his wife, Gina; 6 grandchildren, Jeffrey Lewis Harper and his wife Diane, Jennifer Harper Hadden and her husband Daniel, Jonathan Harper and his wife Kristine, Valerie Borders Sherrer and her husband George, Jamie Harper McConnell and her husband Josh and Eric Harper; with 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild along with countless nieces, nephews and friends.
