Mary Rose Tebo, 72, of Valley, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2022, at her residence in Valley, Alabama.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm (EST), Friday, May 27, 2022 at New Hope Revival Ministries, with Pastor Steven Shelley officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 26, 2022 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 3738 Hwy 431 N Phenix City, AL.
Mrs. Tebo, daughter of the late Daniel McLaughlin and Sadie Louise Bowen, was born on August 4, 1949 in Oak Grove, Louisiana. She was a homemaker and member of New Hope Revival Ministries for over 30 years.
Mrs. Tebo loved her Lord and Savior and loved her family immensely. She enjoyed cooking for her family, her church family, and friends. Many knew her for her chicken and dumplings and buttermilk biscuits. She was known to share them with businesses in the area. We will all miss her wonderful southern cooking. The family remembers her as a Holy Ghost filled Christian who lived out her faith.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her adoring husband of 54 years, Willie Tebo; son, Melvin “Scott” Tebo; two sisters, Barbara Logan and Janice Cotton; two brothers, Junior Harvey and Jerry Harvey; and granddaughter, Crystal Bernhardt.
She is survived by two daughters, Amanda (Mark) Kover; Pamela Tebo ; two sons, Willie (Michelle) Tebo, Billy (Laurel) Tebo; two sisters, Debra Sons and Diane Yarbrough; ten granddaughters, JoAnna (Dave) Melillo, RoseAnna (Kaleb) Lee, Kara Bond (Stephen), Neisha (Bailey) Bowline, Emily (Roger) Wasinger, Ashleigh (David) Yantis, Zion Tebo, Briana Furlong, Meagan (Luke) Yovich, and Aimee Tebo; seven grandsons, Zachary (Ashley) Kover, Joshua Kover, Kiley (Leah) Meeks, Logan (Brooke) Furlong, Chris (Sarah) Tebo, Cameron (Liz) Tebo, and Tommy Lee Runnels; twenty-two great-grandchildren, Tyler, Alania, Harper, Caleb, Paisley, Lily, Mayah, Elizabeth, Amelia, Christopher, Abra Rose, Enoch, Sophia, Christie, Lydia, Naomi, Sadie (Caleb), Israel, Octavia, Bellamie, Averie, and Zackary; two great-great-grandsons, Walker and Sawyer; as well as several extended family and caring friends.
