Mary Ruth Townson Ivey

Ms. Mary Ruth Townson Ivey, 83, of Columbus, GA passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024 at the Columbus Hospice House.

 A private memorial service will be held at a later date. 

 Ms. Ivey was born May 25, 1941 in Guntersville, AL, daughter of the late Grover Townson and Leila Mae Edmonds Townson. She worked as a Manager at Kirven’s Department Store in Columbus, GA for many years. She enjoyed crocheting and puzzles to pass the time during her later years. She will be missed by her family and friends.

 Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.

 Ms. Ivey is survived by two daughters, Renee Esposito of Columbus, GA and Kathy Cagle and husband Danny of Augusta, GA; three grandchildren, Richard Cagle, Steven Cagle and Brittany Machado; five great-grandchildren; as well as other extended family and friends.
