Matthew Clark Floyd

Matthew Clark Floyd, 48, of Columbus, GA passed away Saturday, December 24, 2016 at his residence in Columbus, GA.  A funeral service will be held at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA on Wednesday, January 04, 2017 beginning at 2:00 P.M. EST with Dr. Richard Wright  officiating.  The interment will conclude the service at Parkhill Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service beginning at 12 Noon EST.  

Mr. Floyd was born October 14, 1968 in Coffee, TN to Jackie O. Clark and the late Terry Floyd.  He was a member of Wynnton United Methodist Church in Columbus.  He loved reading and he loved God’s word.  He was also a fan of Auburn University football.   

Survivors include three sons:  Cameron Floyd, Justin Floyd and Preston Floyd; two sisters:  Rebecca Dawkins of Alaska and Deborah Floyd of Columbus, GA; and a brother, Johnathan Floyd of Columbus, GA. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wynnton Neighborhood Network, 2100 Hilton Avenue, Columbus, GA  31906; the Columbus Baptist Association, 3679 Steam Mill Road, Columbus, GA  31906; and/or the Valley Rescue Mission, Post Office Box 1232, Columbus, GA  31902.
