Matthew “Matt” Lee Mcmullin

Matthew “Matt” Lee McMullin, 37, of Phenix City, AL passed away early Monday morning, September 4, 2023, while in the comfort of his home.
Matt was born October 3, 1985, in Columbus, GA and was the son of Tracie Harden McMullin and the late Randy McMullin. He was employed with Abel Electric and was excited to work in an environment that provided many opportunities. He was a 2004 graduate of Smiths Station High School where he enjoyed playing many sports, especially baseball. He loved the outdoors, fishing, working out, hanging out with friends, and watching sports. He was a huge Alabama Crimson Tide fan. He was a Christian by faith and attended Bethany Baptist Church.
Other than his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jimmy Lee and Irene McMullin and maternal grandfather, Russell Harden.
He is survived by his son and little buddy, Brenden Lee McMullin; mother, Tracie McMullin; sister, Amanda Dudley and husband Wade; his maternal grandmother, Verlan Harden; aunts and uncles, Lisa and Arthur Hatcher, Misty Harden, Rick and Tiffany Gilbert, Sandra and Cliff Carroll, Mike and Cheryl McMullin, Debbie and Cliff Trapp, and Steve McMullin; niece, Dylan Dudley; nephew, Mack Dudley; numerous cousins, extended family, and many many friends.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 pm EDT on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City with Pastor Chris Cloud and special family friend, Gail Gentry officiating. A private burial will take place at a later date by his loving family.
