Mattie Lou Pearson

Mattie Lou Pearson, 90, of Columbus, GA passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at Orchard View Nursing Home. The service will be livestreamed on the Vance Brooks Funeral Home (Vance Memorial Chapel) Facebook page on Friday, April 10, 2020 at 3 pm EST.

Mattie was born on August 3, 1929 in Gadsden, AL to the late Horace and Velma Jones. She was a faithful member of Providence Free Will Baptist Church for over forty years. Mattie was a devoted wife and mother who dedicated her life to taking care of her family. As the years passed, her heart was filled even more with grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. This wonderful woman loved her family and enjoyed the times they spent together. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.

Other than her parents, Mattie is preceded in death by her husband, Pervis James Pearson, two brothers, and one grandchild.

Survivors include her daughters, Brenda Dacus (Ron), Sandra West, and Donna Meeks (Mike), all of Columbus, GA; son, Carlton Pearson of Columbus, GA; 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
