Melody Marie Brassell

Melody Marie Brassell, 44, of Phenix City, AL, passed away on Monday, July 4, 2016.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm EST, on Saturday, July 9, 2016, at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City.  The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service.

Melody was born April 30, 1972 in Atlanta, GA, daughter of Joy Brown and the late Douglas John Brassell. She loved her son and family dearly and enjoyed sharing her beautiful voice by singing whenever possible. She is preceded in death by her father Douglas John Brassell.

Melody is survived by her mother, Joy Brown; son Dalton Lee Brassell; siblings, Melissa Brassell, Daniel Brassell (Latoya) and Misty Brassell; step-mother, Sue Brassell; Nieces and nephews, Preston, Tristan, Jesse, Dustin, Hannah and Skylan; aunts and uncles, Richard Brown, Margaret Wilkinson (Charles), Merle Murray (JW) and Judy Rotterman; many cousins and numerous friends.
