Merrill Weston “Ren” Davis Jr.

Merrill (Ren)Weston Davis, Jr., 57, of Smiths, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2021, at his residence in Smiths Station, Alabama.

Memorial Services will be held at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery, at 10:30, Friday, July 30, 2021. The interment will be held at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery.

Ren was born on December 11, 1964, in El Paso, TX the son of Merrill Davis, Sr., and Donna L Davis. After graduating from High School, he joined the military and proudly served in first the Marine Corp and then the Army, where he was a trained aircraft electrician. Ren was a free Spirit. He loved his family, especially the grandchildren, working on and riding motorcycles, and his gun collection. Ren taught his children by example how to have fun, to not take oneself to seriously and to never give up. He loved to pull pranks and laugh a lot. Ren will always be remembered as someone who lived free and took no lip from anyone.

Ren is preceded in death by his father, Merrill Davis, Sr. He is survived by his loving wife Deborah Sue Davis; mother, Donna Davis; daughter, Amber (Kevin) Mize; Two Sons, John Shook, and Renagado Davis; Two sisters, Holly (Mark) Furtner, and Christina (Matt) Davis-Kane; Brother, Bryan (Catherine) Davis; Four grandsons, Johnethen Shook, Soloman Davis, Dylan Mize, and Justin Davis; Three granddaughters, Silver Davis, Taylor Yates, and Summer Davis; as well as several extended family and caring friends.
