Michael Asbury Morgan, 65, of Phenix City, AL passed away Sunday, April 14, 2019 in the comfort of his home in Phenix City.
Mr. Morgan was born on August 22, 1953, in Dothan, AL, to the late Frederick Augustus Morgan and Ila Theatus Bradley Morgan. He was a retired Narcotics officer with the City of Mobile, AL. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, hiking, camping, and spending time in the outdoors cherishing nature. He was a member of the Landmark Church in Phenix City. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nina Kay Watson Morgan, and an infant grandson, Aiden Watson Morris.
He is survived by his children, Brandi Morris and husband Randy, Steve Holloway and wife Tami, Sherry Schwarz, Michael Holloway, and Sandra Holloway, one sister, Wanda Gayle Mosley and husband Larry, and a brother, Bradley Shane Morgan; grandchildren, Michael Wayne Jordan (Lexi), Karissa Jordan, Kaitlinn Jordan, Heath Morris, and Emma Morris, six step grandchildren, great grandson, Zay Jordan, and six step great grandchildren.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 6:30 pm EST on Monday, April 22, 2019 at Landmark Church with Rev. Andy Rutherford officiating. The family will hold a private interment at a later date to honor Mr. Morgan’s wishes.
