Michael Alan Barfield

Michael A. Barfield, 65, of Columbus, GA passed away on March 12, 2025, in his home surrounded by loved ones. Michael was born on September 9, 1959, to the late Patricia Annette and John Marcus Barfield. After graduating from high school, he worked at the Cotton Mill for 27 years until becoming a truck driver for MOE Trucking Company for 15 years until retirement. He was a man of God who loved his family most of all. Michael’s favorite thing to do was play with his grandchildren and also enjoyed watching NASCAR. He was a faithful and loving husband to his wife, Cathy, for 39 years until his passing. Michael will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

Michael Barfield is preceded in death by his parents, Patricia Annette and John Marcus Barfield; brother, Jimmy Barfield; and daughter, Amy Hawthorne.

Michael is survived by his wife, Cathy Barfield of Columbus, GA; daughters, Tiffany Archer (William) of Valley, AL, Crystal Parette of Phenix City, AL, and Katie Dudenski of LaGrange, GA; sons, Mikey Ray (Renae) of Smiths Station, AL, and Roman “Tate” Dudenski of Phenix City, AL; brother, John David Barfield; grandchildren, Harley Ray, Jon Ray, Ryleigh Archer, Kaitlyn Ray, and Madalyan Archer; and 10 great-grandchildren.
