Mr. Michael K. Creel, 60, of Smiths Station, AL, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2025 at the Piedmont Midtown Medical Center in Columbus, GA.
A Celebration of Life will be held 2:30 pm EST, Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, AL with military honors.
Mr. Creel was born March 9, 1964 in Anchorage, AK, son of the late Jerry Lamar Creel and Alona Kennicott Dailey. He proudly served his country in the United States Army for over eight years, during which he had a tour of duty in Desert Storm. He worked in the medical field in the Army and for a short time after his service but later transitioned to the IT field. Mr. Creel enjoyed sports and was a big fan of both the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves. However, his passions were classic cars, motorcycles and spending time with his family.
He is survived by three sons, Michael Creel, Jaren Creel and Cody Creel; a sister Kelly Dehio and husband Peter; a brother, Johnny Creel and wife Sammy; grandchildren, Bella, Elijah, Xzavier, Antonio and Kwessi; as well as several extended family and friends.
Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Folds of Honor at www.foldsofhonor.org or any homeless veterans charity.
