Michael “Mickey” Dutton, 71, of Phenix City, AL. passed away May 12, 2014 at Gentiva Hospice. Funeral Services are scheduled for Friday, May16, 2014 beginning at 2:00 P.M. EST at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA. 31907. Reverend Elbert Ward and Reverend Ulus Luker will be officiating. The family welcomes friends to visitation Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. EST at the funeral home. Michael “Mickey” Edward “Woodchopper” Dutton was born September 27, 1942 in Columbus, GA, son of the late James Arthur Dutton and Lola Mae Dutton. Mickey served his country honorably in the National Guard. Mickey was a family member of Saviors House and Hands of God Church. He was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather and a caring friend. Mickey leaves behind a legacy that his family will cherish always. Other than his parents Mickey is preceded in death by his loving wife of 36 wonderful years, Elizabeth Marie Dutton; son Michael “Mikey” Dutton, Jr.; brothers, Woodrow Dutton, William “Billy” Dutton; sister, Catherine Johnson. Mickey is survived by one daughter, Sabrina R. White and husband James M. White, IV of Waverly Hall, GA; two sons, Stephen B. “Crazy Wolf” Dutton, Sr. and wife Connie Lyn Dutton of Smiths Station, AL, Vincent Edward Dutton of Phenix City, AL; four sisters, Geraldine Irwin of Columbus, GA, Annette Ashman and husband James of Fleetville, PA, Linda Adams of Clovis, CA, Nancy Toone and husband Merrill of Laguna Park, TX; one brother, Bobby Dutton, Sr. and wife Grace of Phenix City, AL; four grandchildren, Stephen B. Dutton, Jr, Crystal L. Phillips, Brandon Kyle Dutton, and Elizabeth M. White; Mickey also leaves behind two great-grandchildren.
