Michael "Shane" Wilbourn

Michael “Shane” Wilbourn, 40, of Phenix City, AL passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at his home in Phenix City.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held 2:00 pm EDT Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with Pastor Rock Edmunds officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service.

Shane was born April 15, 1975 in Columbus, GA to Michael “Mike” Eugene Wilbourn and Deborah “Debbie” Walker Wilbourn of Phenix City, AL.  He was the co-owner of Nubi Vapor and Café in Ladonia.  He was a graduate of Glennwood High School and had attended the University of Alabama.  He enjoyed all types of sports, including the outdoors, camping, hunting and fishing, and spending time with family and friends.  He was a big Alabama Crimson Tide fan and was a Christian by faith.

Other than his parents, he is survived by his sister, Ashley M. Dempsey of Phenix City, his grandmother, Margaret Dunham of Phenix City, AL, two nephews, Michael “Cole” Dempsey, and Dylan Blake Dempsey, and one niece, Elizabeth Michelle Dempsey, several aunts and uncles, numerous cousins, and many caring friends.
