Michael Vernon Rawls

Michael Rawls, age 41, resident of Columbus, Georgia passed away on February 04, 2021 .  Memorial service and celebration of his life will be at the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 3738 US Hwy 431N, Phenix City, Alabama on Saturday, February 20, 2021, 3 p.m.

Michael, son of Nathaniel Rawls and the late Betty Bradley, was born September 10, 1979 in Crawfordville, Florida.  He was a man who loved to see new places and enjoyed the little things of life.  Michael loved the ocean and often missed his hometown of Crawfordville, Florida.  He went through many situations in his life, often it was not kind to him.  Michael had a hard life, but always lived the best he could, and helped others the best way he knew how.  He was always great at making people smile and cheering them up, or just being that shoulder to cry on.  Michael will be remembered for his kind heart, how smart he was, and that he was a true survivor.

He is survived by one sister, Karen Rawls Fortenberry; three brothers, Justin Rawls, Matthew Hurley, and a third brother that is unknown.

Rest now Michael in peace.  Your battles here on earth will hinder you no more.  We love you and will miss you deeply.
