Michael Wayne Mcdonald

Mr. Michael Wayne McDonald, Sr., 72, passed away Thursday, October 31, 2019, at his home in Phenix City, AL. 

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Monday, November 4, 2019 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City, AL, with Daniel Cook Officiating.  A private internment will follow at Crawford Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 pm Monday, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.      

Mr. McDonald was born March 18, 1947, in Sylacauga, AL, son of the late Norman McDonald and Adelle Pitts McDonald.  He worked as a master technician for most of his career in the automotive industry.  Mr. McDonald enjoyed Alabama football and working on cars, but above all, he loved spending time with his family.  He was attending Golden Acres Baptist Church.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Lynn McDonald; two brothers, Kenneth McDonald and Gene McDonald.

Mr. McDonald is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Anita Selman McDonald of Phenix City, AL; two daughters, April Flournoy and husband Cody of Jackson, AL and Amanda Roberts and husband Bradley of Woodstock, GA; four sons, Michael Wayne McDonald, Jr. and wife Katherine of Columbus, GA, Steven Marx and Patty of Boonville, IN, Scott McDonald, Sr. of Phenix City, AL, Jeff McDonald and wife Jennifer of Smiths Station, AL; one sister, Judy McDonald Register and husband Ronnie of Eufaula, AL; one brother, Ronnie McDonald and wife Yvonne of Eufaula, AL; sixteen grandchildren, Ambrose, Joey, Scott II, Skyler, Stormie, Charlee, Canaan, Corbyn, Grady, Ansley, Adalyn, Mason, Olivia, Madison, Dalton, and Payton; one great-grandchild, Phoenix; several extended family and friends.
