Mickey Dunn Long, 60, of Phenix City, AL passed away Saturday afternoon, November 25, 2017 in the comfort of his home in Phenix City.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm EST Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with Rev. Hank Reeves officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service on Thursday at the funeral home.
Mickey was born August 24, 1957 in Hanover, AL to the late Vines Cornelius Long and Mary Louise Dobbs Long. He was employed with PCI and Pratt Whitney with 35 years of dedicated service. He had a passion for the outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing and hunting, he loved raising roosters, and tinkering with old cars; his heart was spending times of joy and laughter with his only grandchild, Emily. He was a Baptist by faith.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 35 years, Alesia Kay Terry Long, his twin daughters, Falaine Long Thomas and husband Jason, and Chilita Long, three sisters, Linda Joyce Wall and husband Jeff, Glenda Sue Bright and husband Ronny, and Vicki Lynn Slaten and husband David, two brothers, Ricky Dean Long and wife ila, and Dicky Lee Long, one very precious granddaughter, Emily Vernon, sisters-in-law, Brenda Terry Smoak and husband Andy, and Chilita Gilliland and husband Jerry, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and many caring friends.
