Mickey Wayne Hardwick

Mickey Wayne Hardwick, 74, of Phenix City, AL passed away Friday, August 24, 2018 at his residence.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Monday, August 27, 2018 at Vance Memorial Chapel, Phenix City, AL with Pastor David Hardwick officiating.  The family will receive friends Monday afternoon from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the funeral home, one hour prior to the service. 

Mr. Hardwick was born in Henry County, AL on June 16, 1944, son of the late Johnny Mack Hardwick and Mary Johnson Hardwick.  He served his country in the United States Army Reserve.  Mr. Hardwick worked as a construction superintendent for Warr Grading and Development Company.  He was a member of Seale Road Baptist Church.  Mr. Hardwick was also an avid Alabama Football fan.

Mr. Hardwick is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Catherine Griffin Hardwick of Phenix City, AL; two sons, Kenneth W. Hardwick and wife Cindy and David Hardwick and wife Terra, all of Phenix City, AL; a sister, Carol Powell and husband Arthur of Blakely, GA; a brother, Scotty Hardwick and wife Connie of Tallahassee, FL; grandchildren, Blake Hardwick, Maegan Loyd (Carson), Cameron Hardwick and John David “JD” Hardwick; several other extended family and friends.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Kindred Hospice, 100 Brookstone Centre, Columbus, GA 31904.
