Mikelle D. Jones

Mikelle D. Jones, 66, of Columbus, Georgia, sadly passed away in the comfort of her home on Friday March 21, 2025. A graveside service to honor Mrs. Jones will be held on Monday March 31, 2025 at 2 PM (EST) at Rosemere Cemetery in Opelika, Alabama. The family will receive friends on the same day at 12 PM at Vance Brooks Funeral Home Columbus 4048 Macon Rd. Columbus, Georgia 31907.

Mikelle was born on March 22, 1958 to parents Hubert L. Odom and Janice Krilick Odom. In her younger years, she worked as a lifeguard at Double Churches Pool. Mikelle was married to the love of her life, Robert, for over 30 years. Together they raised two sons, Robert Wesley and Aaron. Mikelle was a great mother & homemaker, always putting her family first. She was a dedicated baseball mom as her boys were growing up. She never missed a practice or game and was always their biggest cheerleader.

In addition to her parents, Mikelle is preceded in death by her brother Tommy Odom.

Mikelle is survived by her loving husband of over 30 years, Robert Jones; beloved sons Robert Wesley Jones (Rebecca Probst) and Aaron Jones; and brother Kenny Odom.

Mikelle leaves behind a legacy of love, acceptance, and resilience that will be carried on by her loving family.
