Mildred Letlow Taylor, age 89, resident of Phenix City, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at her residence. Graveside services will be at Salem Cemetery on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, 2 p.m.(EST) with Reverend David Babson officiating, according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 3738 US Hwy 431N, Phenix City, Alabama. Visitation, without the family present, will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 from 5-7 p.m.
Mrs. Taylor, daughter of the late Alfred Euzesla Letlow and Mamie Camella Jenkins Letlow, was born September 15, 1931 in Russell County, Alabama. She was retired from Cobb Hospital where she worked for several years as a Nurses Aide. Mrs. Taylor was a member of First Baptist Church, Salem, Alabama. She loved to go fishing and tend to her garden, particularly her roses. Mrs. Taylor enjoyed watching classic western movies and game shows. The family remembers her as a loving wife and mother, always enjoying life.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jefferson Franklin Taylor, Jr.; a daughter, Patsy Martin; two sons, Jerry Aenchbacher and Johnny Aenchbacher; three brothers; and three sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, Paulette Clawson and her husband James of Phenix City; sister, Betty Joe Gottlieb and her husband Bob of Enfield, Connecticut; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; nephew, Dwight Whitley; many other relatives and friends.
