Mildred Louise Malloy, 94, of Phenix City, AL passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 28, 2016 in the comfort of her home in Phenix City.
Graveside services will be held 3:00 pm EDT Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Parkhill Cemetery in Columbus, GA with Rev. Ralph Wooten officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm EDT at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City.
Mrs. Malloy was born November 26, 1921 in Talbot County, GA to Frank Weaver and Essie Smith Weaver. She was retired and had worked for many years with Dr. Cunningham as his office manager. She enjoyed traveling, working in her flower beds and gardening, she loved spending quality time with her family, and was very active in her church, and she was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Phenix City. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Malloy, and two sisters, Grace Ligon, and Evelyn Day.
She is survived by her son, Frank Malloy of Lake Harding, AL, long-time friend, Jim Lowery of Phenix City, AL, (4) grandchildren, Sam Malloy (Lynn), Christi Railey (Brent), Matt Malloy (Kristy), and Lindsie Malloy, (6) great grandchildren, numerous other loving family members, very special friends, Donna Cribb and husband Luis, her church family, and many other loving friends.
