Mildrige Turner Miller

Mildrige Turner Miller, 87, of Phenix City, Alabama, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, February 1, 2014, at her residence, while surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services for Mrs. Miller will be held at 11:00am EST on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Vance Memorial Chapel Phenix City, AL with Rev. Emory Evans officiating. Interment will follow at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6-8:00 pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Miller was born in Louisville, Alabama to the late Milton Turner and Lessie Mae Hancock Turner. She later moved to Phenix City, AL where she worked as a weaver at Columbus Mills. She was a Member of the Salvation Army. Mrs. Miller's children and grandchildren were the joy of her life. She cooked family dinners every Sunday where everyone was invited to come and enjoy. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her loving husband Everette Quinton “EQ” Miller; two sisters Ethel Mae Edwards of Phenix City, AL and Frankie Ruth Simpson of Seale, AL; four brothers Dock Hulen Turner of Wisconsin, George Hamilton “Buddy” Turner of Columbus, GA, Westberry “Joe” Turner of Phenix City, AL and Lee Milton “Leo” Turner of Phenix City, AL. Mrs. Miller is survived by two daughters, Brenda Faye Touchton and husband Ray of Phenix City, AL and Peggy Gail White and husband William Gene Thomas of Phenix City, AL; two sons Charles R. Miller of Phenix City, AL and Benjamin Neil Miller of Phenix City, AL; a sister Jewel Mae Jackson of Phenix City, AL; one brother William Henry Turner of Phenix City, AL; four grandchildren Lisa White, Harvey White, Chase Ray Touchton and Daphanie Morris and husband Steve of Phenix City, AL; and many great grandchildren. Also, a brother in law, Leland Miller and wife Ruth Miller of St. Louis, MO.
