Milton Clinton Wright

September 29, 1945 — February 10, 2025

Columbus

Milton Clinton Wright, 79, peacefully departed this world on February 10, 2025, in the comfort of his home. Born on September 29, 1945, Milton lived a full life, crafted by both the challenges and joys he encountered along the way. The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life on Saturday March 15, 2025 at 12pm at Calvary Tabernacle 4931 Lee County 246, Smiths Station, AL 36877, with Pastor Jammie Holloway presiding.

For 27 remarkable years, Milton dedicated his craftsmanship as a weaver at Bibb Mill. His work ethic made him a well-respected figure within the community. Milton carried himself with a magnetic swagger & walked into any gathering like he owned the place, exuding a charm that was unmistakably his own. An Army veteran, he carried the pride of his service in his heart, earning the admiration of all who knew him.

Outside of work, Milton lived life on his own terms. He cherished the simple pleasures, whether it was tending to his lawn and vibrant flower beds or lending a hand to neighbors by mowing their grass. His humor was infectious; he often jokingly claimed his favorite pastimes were “running streets and chasing women,” yet it was the serene moments on his porch, a cold coffee in hand, that truly defined his spirit. He affectionately dubbed this time "rockin' and spittin'," a testament to his love for life's little moments.

Above all else, Milton held a profound pride for his family. His daughter Stacie was the embodiment of a Daddy's Girl, and his great-granddaughter Adalynn was the very light of his life. His great-grandson Mason was his little buddy, and together they made cherished memories. Milton's family extended beyond just his immediate circle; his beloved dogs were treasured family members, providing companionship and joy throughout his life.

Milton is survived by his daughters Stacie and her husband Wayne, Jill, Veronica, and Margaret; his brother Donnie; and his cherished grandchildren, Ashley Ruggles, Christopher Hennessee, Tyler Hunt, Katie Hunt, Gracelynn Wagner, and Madison Wagner. He also leaves behind his great-grandchildren, Adalynn and Mason, who brought endless delight to his days.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Zackey Wright and Minnie Bell Coulter Wright, whose legacy of love and integrity continued to resonate through Milton's own spirited life.

Milton Clinton Wright will be remembered not just for his infectious personality and unique spirit, but for the love he poured into every interaction. His legacy endures in the laughter shared among his loved ones and in the beautiful memories that will forever fill their hearts.
