Minister Cleophas Вђњbillвђќ Ollison

Minister Cleophas “Bill” Ollison , 67, of Columbus, GA passed away Monday, August 08, 2016 at Columbus Hospice House in Columbus, GA.  A funeral service  will be held at New Providence Baptist Church, 5227 14th Avenue, Columbus, GA on Saturday, August 13, 2016 beginning a 12:00 Noon EST with the Reverend Thaddeus Spencer officiating.  The interment will be Monday, August 15, 2016 at the Fort Mitchell National Cemetery beginning at 11:00 A.M. EST.  The body will be available for viewing on Friday, August 12, 2016 at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA until 8:00 P.M. EST. 

Minister Ollison was born January 1, 1949  in Suggsville, AL to the parents of the late Rollie Mae Ollison and Florice Tunstell Ollison.  He was the Associate Pastor of New Providence Baptist Church in Columbus, GA.  He worked at Columbus Foundry in plant maintenance and he also served his country proudly in the United States Army.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Prince Hall, Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance (IMA) and an instructor in the Mt. Calvary Congress of Christian Education of Columbus, GA.

Minister Ollison is predeceased by a daughter, Lucy Stroud Brockington.

Survivors include two daughters:  Anthoneria Taylor (Larry) of Columbus, GA and Monique Hobbs (Terrance) of Columbus; one son, Eugene Stroud of Columbus, GA; two sisters:  Mary E. Moorer of Far Rockaway, N.Y. and Gertrude Ackers of New Orleans, LA; one brother:  Carl E. Ollison (Carolyn) of Suggsville, AL; nine grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. 

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the youth program of the New Providence Baptist Church.
