Miriam Sue Cox

Mrs. Miriam Sue Corbett Cox, 84, of Phenix City, Alabama, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, October 14, 2017, at her residence, while surrounded by her family.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Cox will be held at 1:00 PM EST on Tuesday, October 17, 2017, at Vance Memorial Chapel, Phenix City, AL with Brother David Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 11:30 AM, at the funeral home. The family will have a private interment following the service at Lakeview Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Cox was born in Columbus, GA, daughter of the late W.R. Corbett and Vivian Elder Corbett. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cox was preceded in death by her husband, of 46 years, James E. “Jimmy” Cox. Mrs. Cox loved her family and her family at The Way Church. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Cox was a +Dental Hygienist with Dr. Frank Bass. She enjoyed traveling and playing dominos with her friends.

Mrs. Cox is survived by two daughters, Sherry Cox Johnson and husband Cliff of Phenix City, AL and Connie Cox McCarthy and husband Jim of Monroe, GA; one son James Walter Cox and wife Dana of Phenix City, AL; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
