John Fredrick “Rick” Jacquin

John Fredrick “Rick” Jacquin, 74, of Phenix City, Alabama, passed away on Friday,
February 10, 2023, at Piedmont Midtown Hospital in Columbus, Georgia with his family by his side.
Funeral Services will be at 4:00 PM EST on Thursday, February 16, 2023, at Vance Brooks Funeral Home located at 3738 U.S. Highway 431 North Phenix City, Alabama 36867, with Rev. David Dollar officiating. Interment with military honors will be held at 11:30 am EST on Friday February 17, 2023 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 PM EST on Thursday afternoon prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Jacquin was born August 21, 1948 in Atlanta, GA, the son of the late Robert Jacquin and Virginia C. Gary Jacquin. “Rick” as he was known by his friends, proudly served his country in the United States Navy including tours to Vietnam and the entering in the Navy Reserve for 20 years. Rick continued his dedicated work with the Civil Service retiring in 2003. He was loyal to his family and his country, he then came out retirement to rejoin the Civil Service again finally retiring in 2016. He spent his spare time enjoying most any activity that involved the outdoors, especially hunting, and fishing and camping. Another favorite past time of Rick’s was dirt track racing. Above all, he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them especially his grandchildren. He was a Christian by faith.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Jacquin was preceded in death by his son Kirby Dollar; sister Elaine Langbehn; brothers Gary Jacquin and Bobby Jacquin and granddaughter Amber Taylor.
Those left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 20 years Cheryl Banks Jacquin; daughters Ashley Jacquin, Cyndi Henderson and her husband John and Carol Hasson and her husband Michael; sons Tyler Jacquin, Kenneth Dollar and his wife Stephanie; grandchildren James Henderson, Quincy Henderson, CJ Cotton and his wife Pahola, Michael Hasson Jr., Gage Dollar and his wife Haley, David Ancona, Zoe Dollar, Shelbi Lopretto and husband Adam, and Hailee Watson, nine great grandchildren and many very special nieces, nephews, extended family, and many caring friends.
