Mrs. Billie Ann Morrison Stephens, 86, of Phenix City, AL passed away Saturday, May 25, 2024 at her home.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 am (EST) Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Lakeview Memory Gardens with Rev. Scott Stephens and Rev. David Dollar officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City, AL.
Mrs. Stephens was born March 23, 1938 in Chatsworth, GA, daughter of the late Buck Morrison and Jean Elizabeth Cline Morrison. She was an exceptional basketball player in high school and was offered a scholarship to play at the collegiate level. However, she decided to get married and raise a family. Mrs. Stephens served in the ministry along side of her husband at First Evangelistic Church for over 50 years. She loved her church and spent numerous hours raising several generations of children in the church. Mrs. Stephens also enjoyed gardening, sewing and raising flowers.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Rev. Jimmy D. Stephens.
Mrs. Stephens is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Louanne Stephens Davis of Phenix City, AL; three sons, Jimmy Earl Stephens, Richard Otis Stephens and Larry Scott Stephens and wife Amber, all of Phenix City, AL; two sisters, Geneva and Linda; brothers, Jim Morrison, Bobby Morrison and Richard Morrison; grandchildren, Richard, Ashley, Natalia, Anna, Matthew, Dylan, Rebecca, Leah, Wyatt and Luke; great-grandchildren, Jeremiah, Kaitlyn, Hayden, Khloe, Winston, Waylon, Wesley, Lilliann and Bobby; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
