Nancy Pearl Brown, 56, of Phenix City, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 2, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital, while surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services for Nancy will be held at 11:00 AM EST on Friday, April 6, 2018 at Lakewood Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Keown officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday evening at Vance Memorial Chapel from 6-8:00 PM.
Nancy was born in Aliceville, AL to Arthur G. Miller and the late Mary Jane Miller. Later the family relocated to Phenix City, AL where Nancy attended Glenwood High School and served on the Majorette Squad. She was a retired employee of Georgia Power Company where she served as an Office Manager.
Other than her mother, Nancy was preceded in death by a brother Kenny E. Miller. In addition to her father, Nancy is survived by one daughter Lori Ashley Brown of Atlanta, GA; one son Stuart Brown and his wife Sara of Phenix City, AL; two brothers Thomas A. “Tommy” Miller of Crestview, FL and Joseph B. “Benny” Miller of Powder Springs, GA; two grandchildren Kathryn Yates Brown and Patton Reed Brown.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested contributions be made to the following charities to honor Nancy’s legacy: Ronald McDonald House of Columbus Georgia 1959 Hamilton Road Columbus, GA 31904 or American Cancer Society 250 Williams Street NW Atlanta, GA 30303.
