Natividad Tiva Merced Torres

Mrs. Natividad (Tiva) Merced Torres died peacefully on November 9, 2014 in Carrollton, Texas at the age of 98. A funeral service is scheduled for Friday November 14, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. EST at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Rd, Columbus, Georgia. Interment will conclude at Ft. Benning Main Post Cemetery. Viewing will be held at the funeral home in Columbus, Georgia on Thursday November 13, 2014 between 6:30 and 8:00 pm. Natividad was born on December 24, 1916 in Caguas, Puerto Rico to Alberto and Eugenia Torres. She married Ramon Merced in 1946, who served in the United States Army from 1938 until 1971. After various moves to different locations throughout the United Sates, they settled in Columbus Georgia in 1963. Natividad was entirely devoted to her family. She truly was the best a mother could be. She leaves her family with many precious memories to treasure. She is preceded in death by her parents and loving husband Ramon Merced of Caguas, Puerto Rico Natividad is survived by her sons; Ramon Merced, Jr. and wife Rafaela, Rafael Merced and wife Millie, and Luis Merced and wife Susan; Five grandchildren, Gloria, Andria, Rosa, Christina and Emily; great grandchildren, Avery, Ryan, Lauren, Ava and Charlie.
