Neil Harold Jones

Mr. Neil Harold Jones, 77, of Salem, Alabama, passed away peacefully at his residence on April 3, 2023, while surrounded by his loving family.
A Graveside Service will be held at 4:00 P.M. EST on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery located at 5408 Lee Road 401 Salem, Alabama 36874, with Elder David Jones officiating.
Mr. Jones was born in Columbus, Georgia, the son of the late Curtis Jones and Susie Elkins Jones. Mr. Jones completed his education in Columbus, Georgia and then married the love of his life, Lora Hall Jones. Harold believed in hard work and instilled these values in his family by being an example. He worked for nineteen years as a gasoline delivery driver. The last fifteen years of his career he owned and operated his own trucking business. Mr. Jones was known as a man who loved and cared for the welfare of others. He often would take care of less fortunate children by purchasing all their school supplies and making sure they had gifts for Christmas. Above all, Mr. Jones loved his family and spending time with them. Family get-togethers were his favorite times when all his children, grandchildren and great granddaughter were present.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his brother Buck Jones and sister-in-law Claudia Jones.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 56 years, Lora Hall Jones, sons William David Jones (Patricia Lynn) of Seale, AL and James Douglas Jones of Crawford, AL; grandchildren Raymond Douglas Jones, Samuel Curtis Jones and Heather Mae Jones; great granddaughter Georgia Mae Jones; sister in law Lottie Hall Chandler (Eric) and many caring friends, loved ones and extended family.
