Nellie Kate Newsome, 78, of Phenix City, AL died at St. Francis Hospital, Wednesday, March 03, 2021.
Graveside Services will be held at 11:00AM (EST) on Saturday, March 06, 2021 in Newsome Family Cemetery according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL.
Mrs. Newsome was born February 21, 1943 in Baker Hill, AL daughter of the late Andy Hagler and Dorothy Creel Hagler. She was a floral designer for Albrights Florist for over 40 years, a job she loved and excelled in. Nell loved her family and put them above everything else. Her hard work ethic, love of family and gentle spirit has made a lasting impact on our lives. She will always be remembered in our hearts.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Daniel Newsome, Phenix City, AL; daughter Dana Eberhardt and son, Tim Hestley (Roslyn) all of Phenix City, AL; five siblings, Shirley Renfroe, Sheila Dunn, Judy Hough and Ted Hagler; four grandchildren, Justin Moss (Courtney), Jessica Gorman (“Bubba”), Johnathan Eberhardt (Naomi) and Jordan Eberhardt; eight great-grandchildren, Kadance, Kindle, Hannah, Kayden, Caroline Kate, Ashton, Ava, and Addison; several nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
