Nettie Ree Elmore Floyd, 96, of Phenix City, AL died peacefully while at Orchard View Nursing Home, Columbus, GA on Saturday, October 7, 2023.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM (EST) on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 in Lakeview Memory Gardens with Brother Jake Anderson officiating according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:00PM at the graveside on Wednesday.
Mrs. Floyd was born August 13, 1927 in Cottonwood, AL daughter of the late James Willie Elmore and Lonnie Mae Woodham Elmore. She had retired from Pillowtex Corp. after 30 plus years of service as a Hemer. Mrs. Floyd loved growing flowers of all varieties in her yard. Reading books of all kinds kept her mind busy and sharp for many years. She also enjoyed her Soap Operas. Mrs. Floyd loved God and her family above everything else though. She will be missed, but never forgotten.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Lonnie Mae Elmore; her husband, Barnie Edward Floyd; a daughter, Bobbie Jean Williams and several siblings.
Survivors include her daughter, Nora Ann King (Bobby), Phenix City, AL; one sister, Lois Marie Osborn, Smiths Station, AL; four grandchildren, Angela Williams, Kathy Jo Dades (Jody), Kimberly King and Holly King; five great-grandchildren, Michael Ray, Stephen Russell, Tori, Casey and Jamie; three great-great-grandchildren, Grayson Ray William Strickland, Harper and Kyler Dades; several other family members and friends.
