Nevelene Yeomans

Nevelene Yeomans, 87, of Columbus, GA passed away April 29, 2016 at Dekalb Medical Center.  A Funeral service will be held at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA on Monday, May 2, 2016 beginning at 11:00 A.M. EST with Pastor Lee Snow officiating.  A private interment will conclude the service at Parkhill Cemetery. 

Nevelene was born January 3, 1929 in Gum Grove, Mississippi to the parents of the late Martin Johnson and Floy Johnson Johnson.  She was a member of Gum Grove Baptist Church. She was retired from Wade Laundry and Dry Cleaning.

Other than her parents, Nevelene is predeceased by a daughter, Gloria Jean Vinson; her ex-husband to whom she was married 21 years, Markes Lee Yeomans; two brothers:  Sydney Johnson and Martin Johnston Jr.; and two sisters:  Lena Mae Smith and Aileen Cunningham.

Survivors include three daughters:  Sarah Stradling of Loganville, GA, Musette Willoughby of Lilburn, GA and JoAnn Manning (Bill) of Lawrenceville, GA; one sister, Joyce Nettles (Rayford) of Brookhaven, MS; six grandchildren:  Brian Vinson of Columbus, GA, Tracy Craft of Waukesha, WI, Cindy McCullough (Mark) of San Jose, CA, Steven Craft (Montique) of Louisville, KY, Chris Guerrero of Lilburn, GA and Will Manning of Lawrenceville, GA; and 2 great grandchildren.
