Nicholas Tanner Dyksma

Nicholas Tanner Dyksma, 18, of Columbus, GA., passed away Monday, August 31, 2015. A graveside service is scheduled for Friday, September   4, 2015 at Parkhill Cemetery, beginning at 11:00 A.M. EST. Reverend Hank Reeves will be officiating the service.  The family will receive friends Thursday, September 3, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. EST at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA. 31907.

Nicholas Tanner Dyksma was born June 16, 1997 in Columbus, GA., son to Gregory and Tammy Dyksma. Nicholas was a graduate of Northside High School.  Nicholas was passionate about art and music, he had many creative talents. He learned guitar at a young age and began writing songs. Nicholas also enjoyed drawing. He will forever be remembered as a loving son, brother, and loyal friend.

Nicholas is preceded in death by his grandparents, Wade and Vera Smith.

Survivors include, parents, Gregory T. Dyksma and Tammy Smith Dyksma, of Columbus, GA.; sister, Amanda Reece Dyksma, of Columbus, GA.; grandparents, Hendrik Dyksma, of Arlington, WA., Norbertina Verhoeven, of Columbus, GA.; Aunt, Lisa Smith, of Columbus, GA; uncle, Tony Smith, of Columbus, GA; Aunts, Jaquline Kirchberg, of Arlington, WA; uncle, Ted Smith and wife Betty, of Fortson, GA., Terry Smith and wife Dana, of Box Springs, GA; Nicholas also leaves behind many loving extended family members.
