Phenix City

Nick Evenson, 40, of Phenix City, Al, entered his heavenly home on October 13, 2024. Nick was born on July 13, 1984, to Sandra and Donald Evenson. After graduating from high school Nick obtained his associate’s degree and eventually became a supervisor for the I.T. department at Piedmont Midtown Regional Hospital. This was a perfect career as he was known to be an “I.T. guru”. He enjoyed watching Alabama Football and kept up with all the drafts and stats for each player. Nick also enjoyed watching UFC fighting. In his free time, he would play video games and tabletop games, like Magic the Gathering. He loved to watch an assortment of movies and collected them. He took pride in his Camaro, and kept it in pristine condition. Nick loved his family and his pets. He had three dogs, Kobi, Ghost, and Saylor, that he spent a significant amount of time with. He adored his nieces and nephews, two sisters and parents. His best friends, Kody and Samantha, as well as their two children held a special place in his heart. Music was a big part of his life, especially metal and rock music. Nick often played guitar for fun. He was a big Yankee’s fan and was very smart, inquisitive, and funny, although you had to know him to see his sociable side since he was a private person. Nick will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

Nick Evenson is preceded in death by his grandparents, Myrna and William Cole, and Wayne and Madrine Evenson.

Nick Evenson is survived by his parents, Sandra and Donald Evenson of Phenix City, Al; sisters, Jordan Blankenship (Steven) of Phenix City, Al, and Tori Miller (Daniel) of Smiths Station, Al; nieces and nephews, Ashton Blankenship, Charli Blankenship, Leo Blankenship, Lincoln Miller, Esley Miller, and Stella Miller; aunt and uncles, Jeff Cole, Ronald Evenson (Kimberly), Douglas Evenson (Robbie Day), and Janice Smith (Darrell), as well as many cousins and extended family.
