Nina Pearl German

Nina Pearl Dean German, 80, of Valley AL passed away late Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at EAMC Lanier Health Care in Valley, AL with her family by her side.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am EST on Monday, September 16, 2019 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City with Rev. Gary Brown officiating.  A private interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends Monday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 am EST prior to the service at the funeral home.

Ms. Nina was born November 9, 1938 in Coffee County, AL to the late Alma and Sweetie Dean.  She was a loving mother, sister, and grandmother who was devoted to her family.  She loved gardening, tending to her flowers, reading, listening to Gospel and Country music, watching the Atlanta Braves and the Alabama Crimson Tide, cooking fried chicken, and sharing special moments with her family, and especially all her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.  She was a Christian by faith.  Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Joseph Earl Dean, Sr., and two sisters, Margaret Dean, and Myrtle Dean.

She is survived by her children, Glenn Marty German, Jr, Priscilla German Allen and Alice Dean Gilley; four brothers, Mack Dean and wife Martha, Marlin Dean, Earl Dean and wife Gwen, and Jerald Dean, two sisters, Eloise Dean, and Linnie Rea Ellis and husband Larry; (12) Grandchildren, Thomas Allen and wife Angel, Anisa Allen, Dustin Allen, Cody Allen, Tyler Allen, and Austin Allen, Joseph Earl Dean, Jr. and wife Shanna, Amanda Kay Dean Roberts, Daniel Kynard, Tara Kynard, Brian Kynard and wife Brandy, and Kevin Kynard, (14) great grandchildren, and (8) great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends.
