Noel Harlan Woody, 65, of Phenix City, AL passed away Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Midtown Medical Center in Columbus, GA.
Funeral services will be held 6:00 pm EST Monday, January 25, 2016 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with Rev. Jim Caldwell officiating. A private interment with Military Honors will follow on Thursday at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Monday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Woody was born December 25, 1950 Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD to the late Charles John George Woody and Mary Elizabeth Lehnhoff Woody. He served as a Medic and was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the Gallops Senior Center, enjoyed working Sudoku Puzzles, crocheting, going to the movies, reading books from his on little personal library, and his many friendships. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Woody.
He is survived by his siblings, Charles D. Woody of Phenix City, AL, Christine M. Stump of Milford, IN, and Carol L. Starling and husband John of Theodore, AL, several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and his companion, his cat, Bilbo.
