Norma "Gail" Yeomans

Norma “Gail” Yeomans, age 75 of Columbus, Georgia went home to be with her Lord & Savior on Tuesday, October 1st, 2024. 

 Mrs. Yeomans, daughter of the late Dole & Doris Fite Cook, was born September 17, 1949. Mrs. Yeomans was raised on a farm in her earlier years in Georgia where she helped raise chickens, cows & horses and grow & harvest many types of crops. This undoubtedly began her lifetime role as being a homemaker & caregiver to her family, friends, church members and neighbors.

 Gail was a member of Wynnbrook Baptist Church. In earlier years, she served as a Sunday School teacher at Southside Baptist Church & Wynnton Baptist Church. She was a devoted military wife, a caring mother & grandmother and a woman who loved God and her family more than anything. Gail carried a bible down the aisle at her wedding instead of a bouquet showing her love for the Lord. She always sang gospel hymns around the house and wanted everyone to love and trust God as much as she did.

 Mrs. Yeomans is preceded in death by the love of her life, Jack Emil Yeomans whom she married in 1969 with 53 happy years of marriage. She is survived by their daughters Jennifer Jenkins, Andrea (Allen) Waters, Laurie (Mike) Jones and Rebecca Huggins; grandchildren Matthias Jenkins and wife Sarah, Gabriel Jenkins and wife Ashley, Justin Yeomans, Patrick Jones and wife Taylor, Caitlin Huggins, Ethan, Jacob & Grace Waters and three great-granddaughters Eliana, Jadyn & Lily Jenkins; siblings Gary Cook, Jerry Cook & Betty Jean Brannon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Gail’s care givers Ms Donna Duncan and Ms Janet Buck for their loving and compassionate care.
