Norma Ruth Corbitt

Norma Ruth Vance Corbitt, 83, of Seale, AL, passed away Friday, March 9, 2018 at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am EST, on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Vance Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Danny Roberts and Rev. Randy Comer officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 pm EST at the funeral home.

Mrs. Corbitt was born on June 22, 1934, in Coffee County, AL daughter of the late Jessie James Vance and Minnie Bedsole Vance.  She retired from Tom’s Foods with over 42 years of service.  Mrs. Corbitt was a member of River of Life Church.

Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Jack B. Corbitt; sisters, Winnie Lee Stanton, Lorene Brooke, Alberta Allen and Sarah Abercrombie; brothers, Roy Vance, Charles Vance, James Vance, Leon Vance and Lesley Vance.

She is survived by a daughter, Norma Theresa Corbitt of Seale, AL; a son, Jack Randall “Randy” Corbitt and wife Peggy of Seale, AL; a sister, Louise Mars of Pace, FL; brothers, Landon Vance and wife Betty of Phenix City, AL and Wesley Vance of Phenix City, AL; two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and caring friends.
