Norman Thomas Lawrence, Sr., 63, of Phenix City, AL passed away Saturday, February 6, 2016 at the Columbus Hospice House in Columbus, GA.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm EST Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with Chaplain Mario Coneway officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm EST at the funeral home. Serving as pallbeares are Jonathon Synder, Jonathon Fraley, Jimmy Lawrence, Tommy Lawrence, Justin Fraley, and Matt Gates.
Mr. Lawrence was born October 24, 1952 in Phenix City, AL to the late Carroll Thomas Lawrence and Thelma Alline Hamby Lawrence. He had worked as a supervisor with Total Systems in Columbus, GA. He enjoyed his career, and spending time and engaging in projects with his personal computer. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James Floyd Lawrence and David Wayne Lawrence.
He is survived by his son, Norman Thomas “Tommy” Lawrence, Jr. of Phenix City, AL, sister, Susan Stuckey of Phenix City, AL, step-sister, Dawn King and husband Mack of Smiths Station, AL; special nieces and nephews, Jennifer (Jonathon) Fraley, Jonathon Snyder, and Amanda Snyder, great nephews, Justin Fraley, and Jacob Fraley, several other nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.
