Oliver Winfield “Phil” Curbow, 66, of Phenix City, AL passed away peacefully early Monday morning, January 14, 2019 at the Columbus Hospice House in Columbus, GA.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm EST Friday, January 18, 2019 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City with Pastor Lynn McManious officiating. A private interment will take place at a later date by his loving family. Visitation will be held on Friday from 3:00 to 4:00 pm EST, one hour prior to the memorial service at the funeral home in Phenix City.
Phil was born June 12, 1952 in Columbus, GA to the late Oliver w. Curbow, Sr. and Robbie Knowles Curbow Dease. He had worked as a sales representative for many years with Ray Rents of Columbus, GA. He also worked as an independent contractor in the surrounding community and in Saudi Arabia. He was passionate about the Alabama Crimson Tide, and enjoyed the outdoors, and visiting the beach, and the mountains. He was a Baptist by faith. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Curbow Garmley.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Patricia “Patti” Childs Curbow, two daughters, Crystal Curbow, and Angie Rowe and husband Brandon, (4) very special grandchildren, MaKayla, Liam, Gage, and Bradley, several nieces, nephews, extended family, and a very special and close friend, Jane Liddell “Mother Jane” along with a host of other loving and caring friends.
