Mrs. Pamela Jean Chandler Manville, 71, of Dallas, OR, passed away at home, with loved ones by her side, following a short battle with cancer on Sunday the 26th of January 2025.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Pam was born on February 20th 1953 in Corvallis, OR, daughter of the late Alan Eugene Chandler and Lillian Smith Chandler. She worked in banking for over 15 years before making a career change and working as an administrator at Dallas High School, which was a job she truly loved and where she worked until her retirement. Pam was very athletic, playing volleyball and throwing for the track team for Dallas High School and Playing college volleyball. Pam also coached volleyball at the high school, as well as, a softball team for Kids Inc. in Dallas.
Pam loved family gatherings and was often hosting and cooking for extended family over the holidays and in the summer months. She was an excellent cook and baker and it brought her joy to cook for family and friends. Pam also loved to travel, frequently visiting England for extended periods to see her daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren.
Above all, Pam had a strong faith in God. She was a longtime member of Faith Evangelical Free Church in Dallas, OR, where she worked with the youth and was involved in several other ministries.
Pam is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Robert Manville.
Pam is survived by her daughter, Rachel Shead and husband Leo; a brother, Alan Chandler, a sister, Tonya Wilkerson, grandchildren, Ethan Shead and Hannah Shead and several other extended family and friends.
