Patricia A. Godwin

Patricia A. Godwin, age 61, resident of Seale, Alabama passed away August 31, 2016 at Midtown Medical Center with her family and friends at her bedside. Funeral Services are scheduled at Vance Memorial Chapel, 3738 Hwy 431N, Phenix City on Friday, September 2, 2016, 3 p.m. with Rev. Gene Boyd officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, September 1, 2016 from 6-8 p.m.

Serving as pallbearers will be Calvin Tucker, Lester Ingle, David Godwin, Mark Godwin, Tim Bounds, and Randy Osborn.

Mrs. Godwin, daughter of the late Clifford Battles and Verna Osborn Battles Jones, was born March 11, 1955 in Columbus, GA. She was a CSU graduate and a registered nurse for over thirty-six years, who cared for others with the same compassion and dedication as she did her own family. She was a country girl at heart with a passion for horses, happily spending many a hot afternoons attending local horse shows. She was and a member of Cascade Hills Church.

Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by one granddaughter, Whitley McMahan.

Mrs. Godwin is survived by her loving husband of thirty-one years, Paul W, Godwin; her son, Kenneth Harrison; her daughter, Kaley Godwin; her step-son, Kevin (Misty) Godwin; her step-daughter, Kimberly (Marco) Saadeh; one granddaughter, McKenzi Godwin; two grandsons, Aiden Saadeh and Devon Godwin; two sisters; Vicki (Lester) Ingle and Connie (Calvin) Tucker, and many nieces and nephews.
