Mrs. Patricia M. Acre

Ms. Patricia M. Acre, 77, of Opelika, AL passed away Monday, November 7, 2022, at Dadeville Healthcare Center, Dadeville, AL.

A graveside memorial service will be held Friday, December 2, 2022, at 11:00 at 3360 Brookside Dr. Brookside Cemetery in Millbrook, Al with Rev. Vance McCollum officiating.

Ms. Acre was born January 6, 1945, in Columbia, South Carolina, daughter of Elizabeth Allison Lever.  Ms. Acre grew up in Columbia, SC and attended USC before getting married and starting a family. In 1975 she and her family moved to Lee County Alabama where she spent the rest of her adult life as a loving mother and wife.

Ms. Acre spent many years as a sales associate for J.C Penney in the men’s suit department. It is in the men’s department that she met her late husband, Walter E. Acre, Jr. Ms. Acre was a member of Opelika Church of God.  Above all, her passion was her love for the Lord, and her strong Christian faith led her to spend much time studying the word of God and sharing the good message that Jesus brought to mankind. She loved spending time with her family and friends.

Ms. Acre was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Walter Evan Acre, Jr., and her son David M. Plott.

She is survived by a son Richard Scott Plott and his wife Pam Suzanne Plott and her daughter, Kellie M. Ezell and her husband Robert Ezell; grandchildren, Allison “Carly” Greene, Megan T. Herrin, Elliott H. Vaupell, Curtis David Michael Plott and J. Connor Ezell; great grandchild, Rylee N. Plott; and other extended family and friends.

Stepsons Kevin Acre and his wife Samantha Acre, Jason Acre and his wife Christie Acre and Grandchildren Jackson Acre, Kayleigh Acre and Whitley Acre; great grandchildren; Emberleigh Acre and Jemison Acre.
