Patricia “Faye” Gullatt Wuestney, 68, of Phenix City, AL passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL while surrounded by her loving family.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am EDT on Friday, March 22, 2024, at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City with Rev. Brad McDaniel officiating. A private burial will take place in a very special place of remembrance. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm EDT at the funeral home in Phenix City.
Faye was born July 25, 1955, in Phenix City, AL, daughter of the late Willie Frank Gullatt and Naomi Ruth Montgomery Jenkins. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who was deeply devoted to her family. She enjoyed traveling, visiting the beach, and shopping, but her greatest joy was her family, especially sharing stories and time with all her grandchildren. She was a Christian and a Baptist by faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Peggy Jones and Cynthia Gullatt Webster, and her father-in-law, Paul Wuestney.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 43 years, Rodney “Brent” Wuestney; her children, Keeli Anne Peeler and husband Josh, Brentney Joy Whale and husband Zach, Amanda Beth Wuestney, and Brent “Eagle” Wuestney; four sisters, Frankie Lake and husband Wayne, Pam Register and husband Steve, Joy Bass, and Willene Gullatt; eight grandchildren, Houston Whale, Hunter Whale, Hayden Whale, Kayleigh Harrison, Bella Peeler, Kelsey Harrison, Rubie Peeler, and Lilly Anne Peeler; mother-in-law, Peggy Jane Wuestney; sister-in-law, Mitzi Ivey and husband Chuck; numerous nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews; other loving extended family members, and many caring friends.
