Patricia Gail Taylor

Patricia Gail Taylor, 68, of Smiths, AL died at her residence Saturday, October 05, 2019.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 08, 2019 in the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL. Interment services will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 till 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Mrs. Taylor was born October 02, 1951 in Columbus, GA daughter of the late Bernard Whitaker and Gladys Killingsworth Whitaker. She was a manager for Piggly Wiggly for over 30 years in Phenix City, AL and Columbus, GA.  Mrs. Taylor enjoyed Alabama Football, but loved her family, especially the grandchildren.  She was also member of St. Mark Freewill Baptist Church. We will remember her as a “little woman with a big heart of gold”. Thank you for all the memories we have shared and will always hold dear.

Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her parents and two siblings, Ann Cordle and Bernard Whitaker.

Survivors include her husband of 24 years, Julian R. Taylor, Smiths, AL; two children, Lisa Singleton, Smiths, AL and Tommmy Singleton (Kim Salter), Smith Station, AL; step-son, Mark Taylor (Lenden), Seale, AL; two sisters, Brenda Carden, Phenix City, AL and Norma Pierce, Birmingham, AL; five grandchildren, Zachary Christian, Felicia, Michael, Dylan Singleton,  and Ethan Taylor; four great-grandchildren, Bella, Aiden, Trendon and Alexander Singleton; several nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
