Patricia Parker

Mrs. Patricia Harry Parker, 74, of Phenix City, AL passed away Sunday, February 23, 2020 at Arbor Springs in Opelika, AL.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm EST on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City, AL with Rev. Charles Keown officiating.  A private interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.  Pallbearers will be Ronald J. Smith, Leonard E. Crookham, Kenneth E. Davis, Jr., Darrin L. Williamson, William Dane Nelson, and Sean A. Allen.  The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm EST at the funeral home.

Mrs. Parker was born February 15, 1946 in Chattahoochee County, GA, daughter of the late William D. Harry and Rachel Lipsey Harry.  She owned and operated Pat’s Place Salon in Covenant Woods for over 20 years.  Mrs. Parker had a big heart and enjoyed caring for the residents of Covenant Woods.  She also enjoyed cooking, flowers and bird watching but most of all, spending time with her family.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Herbert Frank Parker; two brothers, Wm. Larrie Harry and Wesley Lamar Harry.

Mrs. Parker is survived by a son, David Frederick  Van Horn and wife Cayce of Auburn, AL; daughters, Claire Van Horn of Sheridan, MT and Kimberly Parker Oakes and husband Jason of Phenix City, AL; sisters, Loretta Harry Nelson and husband Henry, Darnell Harry Hatchett and husband Jimmy, Zaidee Harry Smith and husband T. R., Dinah Harry Allen and husband Sidney; sister-in-law, Carolyn Harry;  grandchildren, Ryan Allred, Eric Allred, Patrick Allred, Emily C. Nelson, Patton Van Horn, Bastian Van Horn, Josh Walker (Michelle), Zach Walker, Trenton Oakes (Ashlee) and Kaytlin Oakes; great-grandchildren, Lilly Allred, Brodie Oakes, Dakota Oakes, Bailey Walker and Easton Walker; several nieces, nephews, extended family and many caring friends.
