Patricia "Penny" A Allen

Patricia “Penny” A. Allen, 80, of Columbus, GA died peacefully on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home in Columbus, GA.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM (EST) on Saturday, May 30, 2020 in the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL with Elder Tim Long officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00 till 7:00 PM (EST) on Friday evening at the funeral home.

Mrs. Allen was born May 17, 1940 in Bonifay, FL. She was an active member of Mt. Moriah Primitive Baptist Church. Mrs. Allen retired from Kinnett Dairies as a Lab Tech and she was a weaver for several local textile mills prior to Kinnett Dairies. She loved to cook, attend auctions and go to yard sales. We will remember her devotion to her Lord and her family.

Mrs. Allen was also preceded in death by an infant son, and two adult sons, Tony and Roger Hancock and a daughter Barbara Sternberg.

Survivors include her husband of 32 years. Roland Allen, Columbus, GA; two children, Renee Jenkins, Woodstock, GA and Steve Allen, Winchester, TN; several grandchildren; a sister,  Diane Davis, TX; sister-in-law, Margaret Bess and a niece, Tammy Bess both of Lantana, TN; several other nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
